Match notes

The rain was pouring down in the game The Dukes - Tüskarna från Linghed (Season 7, Round 4) and it set the tone for the entire game.

The Humans started the game with a perfect defense which really threw the High Elves off. profile

Ralf got things going by knocking out Eirdeth Bounty (30000 gp)

so badly that he never came to.

Tüskarna från Linghed retired

managed to slow down their agile opponents and got into a pushing war with the elves, all of the players covered in mud and rain. After a lot of blocks and tackles profile

Franz

managed to steal the slippery ball and score.

The second half saw a good defence by The Dukes retired

, staring with a blitz! This threw the Tüskar off but they secured the ball and started moving it upfield. A heroic blitz by one of the High Elf Blitzers saw the ball pop loose and the Elves getting their hands on it. The ball changed hands several times, but finally The Dukes retired

managed to secure it.

A gap in the Human defense gave the Elves a chance to advance. Tüskarna från Linghed retired

gathered their defenses and as the time was running out managed to get the ball free. With a receiver well placed they had a chance to cement their victory. Once again the conditions on the pitch proved hazardous and the slippery ball bounced away, leaving the Elves with a chance to score.

Having had a hard game the final insult to the Elves was that Tiamah dead

fell so badly in the mud as he moved to the endzone that he broke his neck and died on the spot!
