Match notes
The stands were packed for what turned out to be a very close and well played game of Blood Bowl.

Zharr's Black Anvil elected to receive first and started their slow push towards the elves endzone. Valiant attempts to stop them failed, and the Bull Centaur Poseidon ran in the first touchdown of the game after a forth of it had been played.

The elves then got the ball and after a bit of running and fumbling they managed a very nice pass over half the pitch and tied the score to 1-1.

By this point the elves were starting to feel the effect of the chaos dwarves bashing and there were fewer and fewer elves on the pitch.

Toastwood Treehuggers held the ball in the second period despite the numeric advantage of the Anvils. As the end of the game was approaching there were 5 elves left on the pitch. That's when Cyred Birchsinger made a break for it and was just a few steps from the endzone. His coach messed up though, failing to goad him on further and believing him to be safe.

Unfortunately for the Treehuggers, he was not yet out of reach! One of the Bulls chased him down and took the ball. Being massively outnumbered the elves had no way of stopping the Anvils from scoring and moving on in the playoffs.

Truly an exciting game which could have ended either way!
