It was a cool and cloudy day when the Bunnies met the Bombers. Snow was threatening, but failed to deliver throughout the game, much like the Bombers who lost the cointoss and started by kicking off.
The first period saw a stunning opening, as  Frlesh , fired up by twenty thousand cheering fans, set upon the Bombers loaned-in treeman and broke his branches. Sure, they will grow out again, but he was out for the rest of the game, just like Lady Jeannette was left down for the count by Nurghed
After that there was a lot of struggling for the better half of the half, with the Bombers actually managing to knock loose the ball once or twice, but in the end the Bunnies greater skill and experience carried the day and Ltuk carried the ball to a touchdown, but not before pushing Miss Hap out into the crowd to be torn apart by rabid Bunny fans.
The second period began first with a Bunny Blitz, but then continued with a typical elven playstyle and a quick pass to Leapin' Liz who began a quick rush towards the endzone, and despite the Bunnies managing to press the Bombers against the sideline and knock the ball loose, a second quick but risky pass to Windy Lou saw the equalizing touchdown being scored.
Then the Bunnies showed what they were made of by repeated brilliant coaching, and by quickly killing Pretty Ballsy, maiming Heartbreaker Babe and putting Vicious Virgin on a stretcher for the rest of the game. A quick pass by Ltuk to Naguk then put the Bunnies back in the lead, which they would keep for the rest of the game.
The last half of the second half saw the worn-down Bombers only being able to put six players on the pitch, and most of them would spend most of the time face-down on it. A failed pass put the ball on the ground, and plenty of fumbling took place with a desperate (but mostly failed) attempt by Windy Lou to get the ball closer to the Bunny endzone. After being tackled by Ltuk, Windy Lou ended up on the ground with a broken leg, but the toss-in of the ball did make it almost reach the Bunny endzone.
Ltuk then picked up the ball and passed it to Zuckbar who run like the wind towards the endzone. Sadly for his future glory as a scorer, a desperate move from Wanna Play saw her getting up from the ground, slip away from being surrounded by three Bunnies and manage to KO Zuckbar and actually hold the ball for a few seconds, before being brutalized by Frlesh but actually managing to bring the troll down with her as the final whistle blew.
The game ended 2-1 to the Bunnies. |
