Match notes
SAY CHEEESE!

MIDDENHEIM. Around 21.000 blood bowl fans came to see The Vermillion Vermin release all their speed, fueled by the disappointment of last week's game, to win 4-nothing against the Two-Headed Ogres. They couldn't hold back their excitement and stormed the pitch, knocking down two players in each team, before the first kick-off. The ogres elected to recieve but the conversion was complete when Skrattle Steerpike put the Skaven on the scoreboard. After that Splint Sparrowmarsh had a real show, scoring his first hat-trick with the following three touchdowns for the Vermin. Some of the plays the Vermin pulled off were small miracles... Blitzer Fester Flakkverm managed to down a ball carrying ogre with a well-placed but low odds blitz. At two times the ogres managed to move the ball deep into the Skaven's zone almost scoring but on both occasions the rats recovered the ball and moved it like lightning up field to score. The Vermillion Vermin's captain and thrower, Opus Fluke, was rarely seen this game, due to the ogres starting with the ball and after each Vermin touchdown. But after halftime he had his chance to lead his team but fumbled the ball trying to pick it up. A mistake that almost lead to an Ogre touchdown. He redeemed himself at the very end of the game as he recieved a hand-off and threw a long pass that barely landed on Splint Sparrowmarsh who could score the final TD of the game to complete his hat-trick...
The Vermin looked and played really well this game and I would be surprised if I didn't see them in the finals... Especially as news just got in that they have recruited a rat-ogre.. We will report more on that later.
