Newmill Cheesemongers

Retired!
Race:  Halfling
Coach:  Ozt
Description
The Cheesemongers was originally a regiment of lifeguards for the Head Elder of The Moot, the halfling nation in the Empire.
Unfortunatly the Elder could not be persuaded to let the food tasters do their jobs, since that would mean less food for him.
After the Elder was poisoned and killed, the Cheesemongers returned to their home village of Newmill in disgrace.
They needed an outlet for their anger and shame.

Victory!
After a game against players of a more reasonable size, the halflings are yet again victorious!
Even though they were cheating and brought a weapon on the pitch, they were in the end defeated by the orbital assault tactics that Coach Ozt has been making them practice.

And third time was the charm for star player Puggy Baconbreath. He was on pitch for most of the game and managed to knock out a few goblins as well as clear the path in tight situations. Maybe his reputation is not exaggerated?

Room for improvement.
A lot of lessons were learned during the game against the foul greenskins of Bubbas Brawlerz.

Some kind of reward program is needed to get the players out of the KO-box and onto the pitch again. After 10 failed attempts without a single player waking up, the halflings could only field 8 players in the second half of the game.
And it seems like that is a bit too few to dominate orcs on the offensive.

Victory!
The second ever outing was a resounding turn 16 victory for the glorious halflings!
The chef had researched different recipies more suited to distract the barbarian non-halflings and their rotted palates, resulting in a serious loss of performance for the opponents.

This match also featured the first appearance of fabled halfling star playe Puggy Baconbreath. unfortunatly he only managed to be a drain on our resources before dodging himself out of the game turn 2.
The team speculates that he was not used to the moldier cheeses of the Cheesemongers since none of them suffered from being close to the smelly nurgle warriors, while Puggy redused to get close enough to them for a proper hit.
Did he fake the injury to get out of the game? Will the Cheesemongers ever trust him again?
Only time will tell.

Ouch.
The first outing in the league went slightly less well than anticipated.
The other teams players were faster, stronger and harder than halflings. Obviously they were all on steroids and cheating!
The Chef also had some problems performing under the stress of a real match, during practice the match did not start until the Chef gave the signal.
"The referee just blew the whistle and started the game before the fondue had melted. I have never seen disrespect like this, I demand that the referee will be reprimanded for his rudeness!" said the Chef.
